COVID 19 REOPENING
Finally a little bit of good news!
The surgery will be partially reopening on Monday 1st June but we are certainly not back to ‘normal’. All patients have had to be triaged into 3 categories, red, amber and green. The red and amber patients are those who we are allowed to see and treat immediately, that is, if they want to come into the clinic to see us of course.
We are still awaiting guidance from our Governing Bodies regarding when we will be able to see and treat the green category. Hopefully this will be soon.
Things will be a little different at the surgery. Fiona will be in full PPE and we have fitted sneeze screens in the treatment rooms and reception desk. If you have an appointment, please arrive at your appointment time. We are trying to safeguard you by minimising the close contact you will have with other patients, to do this, we have extended the appointment time to 45 minutes, this will allow for the normal treatment time of 25 to 30 minutes per patient, it will also allow extra time for us to deep clean in between each patient in an effort to minimise the risk of cross contamination.
Kim will also be working from home. After your appointment, she will contact you by telephone to make your next appointment. Shaiba is still on furlough from the practice but is still working on the frontline with the NHS.
Stay safe and stay well, we hope to see you all very soon!
